NACHI Pilipinas Industries, Inc.
In the year 1988 National Precision Tooling owned by Philippine Government and operated by Oroquieta Manufacturing Corp. sold their shares to Nachi-Fujikoshi Corp. on January 2, 1989 leading to the birth of Nachi Pilipinas Industries, Inc.
- In the Year 1994 reorganization and increase of shares of stock to Nachi-Fujikoshi Corp. took place. Also, expansion was made on October 27, 1995 and begins with JIS Certification on May 15, 1996, ISO 9002 on October 11, 1996 and ISO 14001 on May 14, 1998.
- In the Year 2000 reorganization and increase of shareholder occured, also in the year 2001 Nachi Pilipinas Industries, Inc. opened up its sales office in Muntinlupa City, a showroom for imported supplies of its local clients.
- In the Year 2005 reorganization happened and ISO 19001:2000 on January 9, 2003
- In the year 2007 change of export location from Nachi-Fujikoshi Corp. - Japan to Nachi Industries, PTe. Ltd. - Singapore and also participates to World Trade Center Manila for exhibit.
- In the year 2009, our country suffered from global crisis Nachi Pilipinas Industries, Inc. had been affected and our automotive clients had reduced their orders. The management decided to temporarily suspend the operation from September 1, 2009 to February 28, 2010. On April 2010 thus the management decided to close the Muntinlupa Sales Office for building renovation. But even there had circumstances happened the company strive to exist for more than 30 years in the country.
- In the year 2015 and 2017 Nachi Pilipinas Industries, Inc. participates to World Trade Center Manila for exhibit in collaboration with Gainswell Marketing.

BUSINESS
NACHI-FUJIKOSHI CORP. was founded as a tool manufacturer in the City of Toyama in December 1928 based on founder Kohki Imura’s philosophy and ideology that “Domestic ability to produce machine tools is fundamental to the development of Japan’s machine industry.” Ten years after its founding, the firm set up a steel mill and established an integrated production system covering aspects from materials to the final product. Then, the firm expanded its operations into the fields of tools and bearing based on its quality materials. No other company in the world is so involved in machining equipment like tools, robots, bearings, hydraulic equipment, and materials. Through complex and linked Nachi Business - machining business with machining, robots, and the like, functional components business with bearings, hydraulic equipment, and the like, materials business with materials and heat treatment - the firm “Contributes to the development of the world of product manufacture.”
Heat Treatment
DRINITE furnaces are used to impart wear resistant, fatigue resistant, corrosion resistant and seizure resistant characteristic for ferrous alloys. DRINITE process is a new nitriding and nitrocarburizing method developed by NACHI based on its years of experiences and a low temperature heat treatment carried out in a partially dissociated ammonia atmosphere enriched with the DRINITE liquid. In the features many advantages over the conventional nitriding process by saltbath, simple operation, pollution-free, bright finish of work preces, etc.
Bearing
Nachi bearings business started out by using the superior quality materials made by the company and by applying expertise in cutting and heat treatment acquired from our experience with cutting-tool manufacture. Origin of the Corporate Name "FUJIKOSHI"
NACHI-FUJIKOSHI CORP. was founded in the city of Toyama in 1928. Kohki Imura, the founder, named the company FUJIKOSHI in order to give concrete expression to his creed that self sufficiency in machine tool supply is indispensable to Japan's economic prosperity. The first two characters "不二" which read "Fuji" were picked from the Buddhist scriptures. A passage in the scriptures says "Justice and injustice appear to be different things. The truth is that they are "Fuji" (not two). They are one and the same". The third Chinese character "越" which reads "Koshi" has the same pronunciation as "高志" which means the general area along the Japan Sea since olden days.
Origin of the Trademark "NACHI"
The NACHI brand name comes from "KUMANO-NACHI-TAISHA", the Grand Shrine, that is one of 3 sacred Kumano Sanzan Shrines. It expresses strong entrepreneurial will. In 1929, the Emperor Showa made a tour of the Kansai district to inspect industries as part of the encouragement of domestic production, and personally inspected a FUJIKOSHI hacksaw blade that was on display as an example of an outstanding domestic product at the Osaka PrefecturaI Office. Overjoyed at the honor of entertaining the Emperor's special attention, founder Kohki Imura decided to name his product NACHI after the name of the latest naval cruiser to be made in Japan, which was also the very same vessel that the Emperor was sailing on for his tour.
